WOW!! SEE The Diamond Encrusted Boots Ronaldo is Going to Rock For winning his third Ballon d'Or! [Photos]

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg97iPPPQINnVxkrD4JbLMXfVbYFUETcRyldHxkELLw_eMpS3B4xjXpFkwBtaWi8XaUDuLPt-INL8gSzhsBIlg6AYPvFsDdbOgv_irTZ1eA1P706VZwFK3QL5VNOyv8txarC75h6mGUWjYO/s1600/1.jpg

The dubbed Mercurial CR7 Rare Gold boot, is a gift from Nike to Ronaldo as a tribute 'to his remorseless work ethic'. The company explains:

"The micro-diamonds are remnants from larger stones that are painstakingly perfected by craftsmen. As the diamonds are refined & the details sharpened, tiny pieces are cut away, leaving micro-diamonds behind as evidence of work in progress. The commitment to keep chipping away at something already impressive reminded Nike’s design team of Ronaldo’s work ethic. While many see Ronaldo as the best in the world, he sees room for improvement."

The Truth About The Early 1900s Nigeria Vs India Match (1 - 99)!!! (photo)

Virtually everybody born before the invention of the internet must have heard the tale of a nonexistent football match between Nigeria and India grin that obviously took place in a parallel universe and somehow we got to hear the gory stories of that match.

Though there are many variations of the story, every prevaricator seems to agree on a couple of facts about this fictional football match. Each storyteller agrees that;

1. This match ended with India scoring 99 goals and Nigeria scoring just one goal.

2. Nigerians where unable to kick the ball because the football kept turning to a lion (or something scary) to prevent them from playing the soccer ball.

3. The Indians later agreed that if Nigeria could score a goal, they would concede defeat

4. Samuel Okwaraji scored the winning goal and lost his life in the process.

5. FIFA banned India from soccer because they used black magic in that very game

With the help of common sense (not that it was absent back then), quick access to information and the internet, every right thinking Nigerian has come to realise that such a story should be filled under “Blatant Lies”.

Why Did This Story Thrive For So Long?

Most people like to pass off this story as true with the fact that no one has ever seen India in an International Football Match. Since no one actually saw India participate in most international soccer games, this gave a little credence to the story.

Another reason this lie could thrive for long was the fact that credible information was not readily available at our finger tips. It not like every Emeka, Audu and Ojo could visit Google in a matter of minutes and tell our ominous fabricators that they should stop spreading toxic lies.

And to be honest we have a tingling feeling that this lie was concocted by an elder of a community because, let’s be honest who questions the words of the elders in Nigeria. Remember, what an adult sees sitting down a child will never see even if he consults Google, Siri or Cortana.

The Element of Truth In This Story

On the 12th of August 1989, Nigeria lost Sam Okwaraji.

Sam Okwaraji was the player rumored to have lost his life in that game when in truth he died during a FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Angola in the 77th minute.

He collapsed and died of cognitive heart failure. May his soul rest in Perfect Peace. AMEN

So that is the only truthful thing about that story, the fact that a Nigerian player died during a football match. That’s it. The match was not against India, we did not lose the match and as you must have guessed, and there were no lions either.

Emmanuel Adebayor Accuses Mum of Using Juju Against Him; Sacks Her from His Life

Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor, who also plays as a forward for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is one of the richest balling footballers in the world. But dude is currently involved in a fierce family feud with his mother and siblings and sadly, the family has chosen to fight it out with him dirty in public.

In an interview with Peace FM's Power Sports, Adebayor's elder sister named Maggie (Margaret) said the football star sent his biological mother packing from his house. That Adebayor dragged his mother out of the house and since then he has been very cruel to the family, doesn't take care of their needs. And things are so bad they now have no choice but to resort to the media. She said:
“..As at now, our mother is selling polythene bags, padlocks and other things on the
border (Ghana/Togo frontier). Our mother has not seen him for more than a year and he rejects her calls anytime...our mother is not calling him for his money; she just wants to see him because she loves him very much”.
Adebayor called his mother the best in the world  in 2009 and dedicated the CAF African Footballer of the year award to her at the ceremony in Lagos
But in response to these accusations on the same platform, Adebayor said it was his mother who decided on her own to leave the house.
"Obviously I'm not a pastor, I am a footballer so I cannot point out a witch. I never sacked my mum from the house; she decided to leave the house...But how am I going to be in touch with my mum if my mum is the one telling everyone that my work will not go forward, so I will just be on my side and do my thing. They should stop talking talking, they should stop doing Juju on me; they should leave me alone...The one talking there and calling herself my sister I bought a house in East Legon for $1.2m...can you imagine that sister went to rent the house without my knowledge?"
According to the former Arsenal star for this issue to be resolved, he called them about a year ago when his brother died and told them to stop going to juju people and sit down at home.
"They don't listen to me so I don't know how to solve this now," he added.
Responding to why he doesn’t take care of his siblings, he indicated that the rest of his siblings can work and take care of themselves including their mother and so “they should do that”. He told Peace FM that his family has already shared all his belongings even though he is still alive.
"They shared my houses, they shared my cars, they say if he dies this car is for you, this house is for you, can you imagine? Right now they don’t need money...If they claim I am not looking after my mother, we are seven and so why can’t the rest do it?
One would have thought that having a rich and famous close relative would mean a good bye kiss to poverty and hardship but that is not so for Adebayor's family.

"My only regret is not winning African footballer of the year' Jay Jay Okocha

When asked about any regret as a footballer, legendary footballer Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha said;
"If I have any regret that would be not winning The African Footballer of the Year. But then, I don't think I was meant to because I gave my best, but at the end, it wasn't good enough. However, I had a fantastic playing career"
When asked why no other footballer has been able to fill the vacuum of the No.10 position he left behind, Okocha replied;
"I don't want to sound arrogant but the truth it that there is something special about me. Sometimes, you have special players in a squad, when you lose them, it will take like five to ten years to get another set of such players. Not that the people trying to fill the vacuum are not good, they are great in their own way, but they are not just special. With time, Nigeria will get the special one that will fill the vacuum I left" He told Encomium

[MUST READ] Stephen Keshi Finally Speaks Out!

It was reported earlier today that Keshi did not appear for the post match conference on Wednesday’s night after his team were held to a 2-2 draw by South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo.

According to him, Nigeria’s inability to defend the title it won last year in South Africa means that he has failed the country.

Keshi noted that sacking of the coach after a team’s failure solve the problem, rather the football authority should look beyond the coach to find solutions to the problem.

“May be we took South Africa for granted and we paid dearly for this,” said the coach.
